Silent danger for men: “Testicular harm” Doctor warns of 3 behaviors in daily life that can lead to infertility without realizing it

Silent danger for men, doctors warn of 3 common behaviors that many people do in their daily lives that “harm the testicles”, before you know it, you’re already sterile!

Testicular harm

Urology surgeon at Bac Mai Hospital, Vietnam warns:  “Standing for long periods, wearing tight pants, or exercising too hard – 3 behaviors that damage the testicles. Which more than 80% of men are facing!”

Varicose veins of the testicles, the “silent enemy” that is slowly destroying the ability of many men to have children

Believe it or not, just a “twisted vein” under the scrotum can cause testicular atrophy and sperm death within 2 years! Don’t ignore testicular pain or a feeling of heaviness in the groin as minor symptoms. As many men find out they are infertile too late because they ignored these symptoms!

Causes of varicose veins in the testicles

Dr. Tran Quoc Khanh, a urologist at Bac Mai Hospital.  Explained that this condition is caused by abnormalities in the blood vessel structure in the testicle. Which can be divided into four main groups of causes:

  1. Anatomical abnormality – The left testicular vein tends to dilate more than the right side because it flows into the renal vein at a right angle, causing blood congestion.
  2. Deteriorated valves – The valves in the blood vessels in the body are responsible for preventing blood from flowing backward. However, when they are deteriorated or there is no valve, blood will back up, causing high pressure and causing the เล่น UFABET ผ่านมือถือ สะดวกทุกที่ ทุกเวลา blood vessels to dilate.
  3. Mechanical compression – The left renal vein can be compressed between the aorta and the intestinal artery, causing long-term blood retention. This is common in adults or those with abdominal tumors.
  4. Other risk factors – such as standing for long periods. Strenuous exercise, wearing tight pants, or having a family history of the disease.

Symptoms of varicose veins of the testicles

This condition often progresses silently, with common symptoms including:

  • A feeling of heaviness or pain in the testicles, especially when standing for long periods or doing strenuous exercise.
  • Twisted blood vessels resembling “earthworms” were felt under the skin of the testicles.
  • In severe stages, varicose veins may be clearly visible (stage 3).
  • Testicular atrophy or difficulty in having children even after trying to conceive without using contraception for more than 1 year

Diagnostic methods

Men who suspect that they have varicose veins in the testicles should undergo a screening by a medical professional, which includes:

  1. Physical Examination – The doctor will have the patient stand upright and perform. The Valsalva maneuver (inhale and exhale) to assess the dilatation of the blood vessels.
  2. Doppler ultrasound – is an accurate way to analyze blood flow, detect blood backflow, and measure the size of blood vessels. If the blood vessels are dilated more than 3 mm, it is considered abnormal.
  3. Venography – Used when more detailed evaluation is required before surgery.
  4. Semen analysis – To assess the quality and quantity of sperm. If a reduced sperm count or broken sperm DNA is found, it may be a result of varicose veins in the testicle.

Varicose veins in the testicles are a problem that men should not ignore because it can affect fertility in the long term. If you find any abnormal symptoms, you should see a doctor for a timely diagnosis and treatment.
